INDIAN WEDDING HENNA

This service is only available when used in conjunction with other RAAJ services.

In India, the ritual of Mehndi is celebrated by the bride's family and this wonderful tradition is full of colour, vibrancy and sangeet (music).  This temporary decoration can be seen adorning women’s hands, arms, and feet. There is a variety of decorative designs to choose from available from the professional henna artists at the RAAJ.  The henna ritual takes place one night before the wedding ceremony and often involves a family gathering and party to enjoy the tradition together.  Today, contrary to ancient tradition, now even many of the female family members and friends of the bride have henna applied on their hands and feet, whilst engraving the initials of the groom's first name on the bride's hands is also becoming popular.

There are many superstitions around the henna designs, one being that whilst the henna stain continues to appear on the bride, she does not have to do any of the housework. Likewise, many brides aim to have their henna stain as dark as possible because accroding to superstition, this means that they will have a much happier marriage as well as getting a better mother-in-law.

Simply discuss your requirements with regards to design, location and timings with your RAAJ consultant and they will arrange this for you.

Henna Artists For Asian Weddings

An integral part of the lead up to the wedding day itself is the mehndi party where the bride and groom often attend along with their immediate family and close friends to get their 'henna on'.  These intricate henna designs look fantastic and also take some time to put on - something that is expertly managed by professional henna artists from The RAAJ.

The lead up to wedding day itself seems to be almost as important as the actual wedding day itself, and so you want to get this right.  From the ladies sangeet party through to the mehndi party and then the wedding day, ceremony and party, it's the attention to detail that will make your wedding occasion memorable.  Put your trust in your RAAJ consultant who will be able to organise everything for you, from your venue, marquee, limousines, entertainment and DJs through to your ladies sangeet night and mehndi party, and this overall vision that you will be sharing with your RAAJ consultant will ultimately come together in an Asian wedding that will live long in the memory.
